The deal between us
Plain English, and short. Use Our Guest List to invite people to your celebration, look after your guests' details, and we'll look after the service.
What Our Guest List is
A tool for building a guest list across the several events that make up a celebration, giving every guest one link, and tracking who's coming to what. We're a small team in the UK. Using the site means you're happy with what's on this page.
Who you're dealing with
Our Guest List is a trading name of We Are Frames Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17465783.
Our address for letters is Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU, and our email is [email protected]. Either reaches us for a question, a complaint, or to change your mind about a payment.
Your account
- You need a working email address, and you must be 18 or over.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- You can add other people, the other half of a couple, a planner, family, to your planning team. They can see and change everything on that celebration, so only add people you trust with the guest list.
Your guests' details are your responsibility
You're the one who decides what goes on your guest list, so you're the one responsible for it. By adding someone you're confirming you have a good reason to hold their name and number. You know them, and they'd expect an invitation from you.
- Only add people you're actually inviting. Don't upload a list you bought, scraped, or borrowed.
- Use it for invitations, not marketing. No promotions, no bulk messaging strangers.
- If a guest asks you to remove their details, remove them. You can delete any guest from your dashboard at any time.
We handle guest details on your instructions, and our privacy page explains exactly what we do with them.
What you can't do
- Break the law, or use the service to harass or deceive anyone.
- Upload images you don't have the right to use, or anything obscene.
- Try to reach other people's accounts or guest lists, break the service, or hammer it with automated requests.
What it costs
There's a free plan, so you can set your celebration up and try it properly without paying anything. There are paid plans as well, and they differ both in how many guests you can invite and in what they include. Which is which is set out on the site, and we may change our prices and plans as the product grows.
A payment covers the one celebration you make it for, including every event within it, and you can keep adding events to that celebration for a short while after its last one. It isn't a subscription and it doesn't renew. A separate celebration later is a new purchase, and the site says what that costs at the time.
Paying by card happens on our payment provider's secure checkout. Your card details go to them and never reach us. Once you've paid, tell us which celebration it's for and we'll switch the plan on and reply to say it's done.
Whatever the price is, we'll tell you before you owe anything, and we won't charge you for something you haven't agreed to. If we change what you're already paying, we'll let you know first.
Changing your mind
If you pay and decide it isn't for you, email us within 14 days and we'll refund what you paid, in full. You don't have to give a reason, there's nothing to fill in, and it makes no difference whether you've already sent your invitations.
That sits on top of your rights as a consumer, never instead of them. Buying from us over the internet or by email gives you a legal right to cancel, and nothing on this page asks you to give that right up, shortens the time you have, or makes you pay for what you've already used.
Nothing you've built goes away when you're refunded. Your guest list, your replies and your pictures are still yours and still there. You go back to the free plan, so the things the paid plan included stop being available and sending invitations past the free allowance waits again. Anything already sent stays sent.
Your content stays yours
Your guest list, your event details, your pictures: all yours. You give us permission to store and display them for the purpose of running your celebration, and nothing more. Export your guest list as a spreadsheet whenever you like, straight from the dashboard.
That includes anything you write on a page you publish for your guests. What goes on it is yours and it is your responsibility, the same as everything else here, and you can take it down again whenever you like.
The site itself, the design, the words, the code, stays ours.
What we promise, and what we don't
We'll do our honest best to keep the service up, quick, and safe, and to fix things when they break. But it's a young service, so we can't promise it will never be unavailable or never have a bug.
Your celebration only happens once, so it's worth keeping your own copy of the guest list as you go. You can export it as a spreadsheet any time, straight from the dashboard.
One thing worth knowing: invitations are sent from your own phone through your own WhatsApp or Messages account, so whether an invite arrives is between you, your guest and that app rather than something we can see or control.
If something goes wrong
Inside the first 14 days you don't need this section at all: changing your mind, above, is a full refund whatever the reason. After that, what follows is where we stand.
Tell us, and we'll try to put it right. Where we've genuinely let you down we may refund some or all of what you've paid. We'd rather sort it out than have you feel short-changed. What we can't take on is the cost of knock-on losses: a missed guest, a catering bill, a disappointing turnout. Nothing here limits liability that the law says can't be limited, including for death, personal injury, or our own fraud.
Ending it
Close your account whenever you want, from your own dashboard. There's a short window in which you can change your mind, after which everything that was yours alone is deleted for good; a celebration other people are on the planning team of passes to them instead. Our privacy page sets out both, and how long you get. We'd only close your account ourselves if you were using the service for something on the “what you can't do” list, and we'd tell you why and give you a chance to export your list first, unless the law stopped us.
Changes
We'll keep improving the product, so features will come and go. If we change these terms in a way that actually affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect.
The legal bit
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there deal with any dispute. If any part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
