Forty years
They married in 1987 in a church hall in Handsworth, with eleven guests, a borrowed suit and a cake Ruth's mother made the night before.
Four children, eleven grandchildren and one very long mortgage later, they would like to do it properly this time, and with all of you.

Getting there
By train
New Street is five minutes from the church and ten from the hotel, all of it flat.
See it on the map ↗Driving and parking
The hotel has a car park, and the church has none. Give yourself time on a Saturday.

The Grand
Dinner and the party are downstairs. Quote FASHOLA40 when you book.
Book a room ↗What to wear
Formal for the church and dinner, with gold if you have it. For the party, whatever you can dance in.
Questions
- Do they want presents?
- They have asked for none. If you insist, there is a collection towards the trip they never took in 1987.
- Can I bring the grandchildren?
- Please do. There are eleven of their own already, so a few more will not be noticed.
- Will there be speeches?
- Dele is doing the same one he did in 1987. He says it has improved.
Gifts
Nothing, please. If you would like to do something, we are quietly putting money towards the honeymoon they never had.
The 1987 fund ↗Thank you for forty years of Sunday lunches, school runs, borrowed cars and standing by them. Come and eat, and stay for the dancing.

01How it works
You send the invitations. We track every reply.
Invitations go out from your own WhatsApp or iMessage, one tap each, so they arrive from you rather than from a platform, and guests reply where they already talk to you.
The steps4
- 01
Build your events
Renewal, Dinner, Party, or whatever yours are called. Each gets its own time, venue and dress code on the one invitation.
- 02
Add your guests
Type them in or paste your whole list, then tick who is invited to which event. A name is enough to start.
- 03
Send from your own WhatsApp
Add a guest's number and one tap opens WhatsApp, message written and addressed. You press send.
- 04
Watch replies land
A yes or no for each event, with headcounts and dietary notes, counted up as they come in.
Your side of it: three invitations lined up to send, and the reminders after. Take the names in any order, and your place is kept if you stop for the night.

03Why one RSVP is never enough
The family is at the renewal. Everyone you have collected since is at the party.
Most tools track one RSVP for one event. An anniversary needs separate headcounts for the renewal, the dinner and the party, because forty years is three different rooms of people. Add as many events as your day needs.

05For planners
Every celebration you're running, under one login.
Manage multiple client celebrations directly from your dashboard header. Invite the family to collaborate on a single shared guest list, then export per-event headcounts for caterers and venues.
Numbers your vendors actually need
Not just “146 people said yes.” The Export button on your guest list gives you a spreadsheet: everyone with their answer to each event, each event’s headcount standing over its own column, and the dietary notes on a sheet of their own, ready to forward to whoever is cooking.
What the export gives you4
- Every event shows what's confirmed, and the most it could still become
- Dietary notes on their own sheet, with no phone numbers on it
- Guests say how many are coming, wherever you've allowed extra
- Filter to one event or one group and export just those
