One invitation.
Every event, tracked separately.

Forty years
Dad arrived in Edinburgh in 1987 for what he said would be two years. He is still here, and so are roughly four hundred of the people he taught.
He has refused a party twice. We have booked one anyway, and we would love you to be in the room when he finds out how many people came.
Who arranged it
Getting there
By train
Waverley is five minutes from both venues, and the hotel is directly above it.
See it on the map ↗Flying in
Edinburgh Airport is thirty minutes into the city on the tram, which runs until late.
See it on the map ↗Driving and parking
The Old Town is not worth driving into. The hotel can arrange parking if you tell them in advance.

Academic dress at the library if you still have yours. Black tie for the evening.
Questions
- Does he know?
- He knows about the presentation. He does not know about the party, or about how far some of you are travelling.
- Will there be speeches?
- Several, and we have asked each of them to be short. We expect to be ignored.
- Can I bring my partner?
- Your invitation names everyone it covers. If it says plus one, please do.
Gifts
He has asked for nothing at all. The department is collecting for a scholarship in his name, which he does not know about either.
The scholarship ↗Thank you for forty years of arguing with him in seminars, staying late in his lab and turning up to his lectures on a Friday afternoon. Come and tell him what it meant.

01How it works
You send the invitations. We track every reply.
Invitations go out from your own WhatsApp or iMessage, one tap each, so they arrive from you rather than from a platform, and guests reply where they already talk to you.
The steps4
- 01
Build your events
Ceremony, Dinner, Party, or whatever yours are called. Each gets its own time, venue and dress code on the one invitation.
- 02
Add your guests
Type them in or paste your whole list, then tick who is invited to which event. A name is enough to start.
- 03
Send from your own WhatsApp
Add a guest's number and one tap opens WhatsApp, message written and addressed. You press send.
- 04
Watch replies land
A yes or no for each event, with headcounts and dietary notes, counted up as they come in.
Your side of it: three invitations lined up to send, and the reminders after. Take the names in any order, and your place is kept if you stop for the night.

03Why one RSVP is never enough
Some guests are only invited to one part of it. Others, to all of it.
Most tools track one RSVP for one event. A celebration that runs over more than one gathering needs separate headcounts for each gathering, caterer, and venue. Add as many events as your celebration needs, whether that is two or ten.

05For planners
Every celebration you're running, under one login.
Manage multiple client celebrations directly from your dashboard header. Invite the family to collaborate on a single shared guest list, then export per-event headcounts for caterers and venues.
Numbers your vendors actually need
Not just “146 people said yes.” The Export button on your guest list gives you a spreadsheet: everyone with their answer to each event, each event’s headcount standing over its own column, and the dietary notes on a sheet of their own, ready to forward to whoever is cooking.
What the export gives you4
- Every event shows what's confirmed, and the most it could still become
- Dietary notes on their own sheet, with no phone numbers on it
- Guests say how many are coming, wherever you've allowed extra
- Filter to one event or one group and export just those
